A third call got us competent help. With any router you're going to end up calling tech support. I would hope the rude, incompetent tech was an anomoly. And, in the words of SpongeBob SquarePants, "Good luck with that." In the case of our install we hade a huge language barrier to overcome and a "tech" who refused to honor our request for a supervisor with a working command of the English language. First request resulted in our being put on hold for 27 minutes, the second time we asked, the phone conversation was terminated. So.router good. Tech support, not so.
I received this item and followed all of the instructions to set-up the secure network and tried to do this 6 times. It wouldn't work so I have been using it unsecured. Please contact me.
It was very easy to install (didn't even need the CD) and my laptop immediately picked up the signal. After half a year of getting 2/5 signal bars from my old wireless router (even being in the same room). I purchased this one. So happy to have a secure wireless network with full bars. At last.
Avoid this product.I had a terrible experience with this product:-I bought it from Amazon.com, installed and after 2 days of usage, the product was dead. Frozen, not working at all and even without the power cord, the product was blinking.-I contacted the customer service and they treat you like someone withou brain, asking you very basic questions and following a protocol that will not address your issue in less than an hour of questions-Everytime I had to contact them I have to went through all the questions again.-I have to pay $30 dollars to receive a new router next day, otherwise they will not going to charge you, but you will receive the product within 14days (which was not an option for me)-The new router wroks fine for exactly two days and then I have to reset the product. I tried everything and they do not know the problem. They said that they already changed my router and they will not change it again.-Bottom line: they not care about the customer, they not have a good product, and it is very expensive.
After that, Linksys changed another router for me. The equipment did not work probably. I have to contact linksys many time to fix it but it did not work. The seller did not help me anything in fixing the problem and change the product. It's was bad.
